Alm Brand Group: Post-merger integration of multi-brand revenue system
- 6x brands
- 800k customers
- +1m leads per year
- Vertical
- Insurance
- Technology
- Databricks, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Enreach
- Frameworks
- GDPR, DORA, ISAE3000
Situation
When Alm. Brand Group acquired Codan’s Danish business in 2021, it became one of Denmark’s largest non-life insurers, with several strong brands running on separate technology, data and go-to-market processes. As integration progressed, the group set a higher ambition: to manage customer value as one system across brands, from first lead to renewal, while each brand keeps its distinct market position. Realizing that ambition at pace became a commercial priority, with direct impact on acquisition cost, cross-sell and time to market.
Why Level
Managing customer value is as much commercial as technical: technology, data and operating model must work as one system across marketing, sales and IT. Alm. Brand Group needed a partner that sees the whole chain end to end and aligns it systematically, rather than one function at a time. Level offered prior partnerships with both Alm. Brand and Codan, equal depth in engineering and commercial execution, and the capacity to step in.
Outcome
The group has set a two-year roadmap with Level and delivered its first milestones: consolidated MarTech orchestration across brands, rewired lead routing and distribution, sales teams aligned to the new model, and Level consultants in key interim roles. The work continues side by side with the group’s teams, building in-house capability, a data-driven commercial excellence discipline and a leaner MarTech stack. Each step is measured against strategic goals and key commercial metrics.
Avtalat: Scenario-Based Roadmap for Unifying Three Brands into One
- 200k+ employers
- 5m+ employees
- Vertical
- Insurance
- Technology
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data360
- Frameworks
- GDPR, ISAE3000
Situation
Fora, Collectum and Avtalat are joining forces under one organization and brand, bringing together three established identities, complex backend systems, customer data and communication platforms. The ambition is to create one unified experience for millions of Swedish employers and employees. But consolidating technology, data and brand awareness while maintaining business continuity is no small task. The transition requires a carefully managed approach that preserves customer trust, ensures seamless communication and guides customers through the change without losing them along the way.
Why Level
Successfully integrating three organizations requires more than technical expertise. It demands a partner who understands the business, customer journeys and underlying architecture. With a long-standing, proven relationship with the organizations, including involvement in Fora’s original MarTech setup, Level brings deep domain knowledge and hands-on experience from major post-merger integrations in Nordic insurance. This combination enables Level to bridge strategic ambitions, customer experience and technical realities when evaluating the path forward.
Outcome
Level delivered a pragmatic, scenario-based integration roadmap, outlining the advantages, trade-offs and implications of different approaches. Each scenario considers domain architecture, data integration, MarTech orchestration and customer experience, ensuring that technical decisions support commercial and operational objectives. By making dependencies, risks and opportunities transparent, Level provided a fact-based foundation for decision-making, helping the organizations navigate complexity and confidently define their path towards a unified future.
Norlys: End-to-End Commercial Performance Management Across Energy and Telecom
- 800k+ owner-customers
- 3.5m+ customer relationships
- Vertical
- Telco, Utility
- Technology
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Snowflake, Enreach
- Frameworks
- GDPR, ISAE3000
Situation
Norlys is Denmark’s largest integrated energy and telecom group, owned by more than 800,000 energy customers. Through mergers and acquisitions, including Stofa and, in 2024, Telia Denmark, it has brought energy, fibre, TV and mobile together under one brand. With a broader portfolio came a bigger commercial opportunity: managing go-to-market performance as one system, from lead sources and routing to sales and up- and cross-sell, across products whose data still lives in different legacy billing and delivery systems.
Why Level
Commercial performance can only be managed when the whole chain is visible, from the first lead investment to the closed sale. Norlys needed a partner that could optimize that chain end to end rather than one link at a time, while solving the hard data problems underneath it. Level offered a decade inside Telia’s MarTech team, commercial depth in go-to-market performance, and the engineering to model data across products, brands and systems.
Outcome
Norlys now manages go-to-market performance end to end with Level: lead source spend is optimized against results, routing logic steers leads through the MarTech stack into the dialer, and sales performance is followed with one view across the chain. Underneath, a data model unifies customers and CRM activity across products, legacy brands and systems, enabling systematic up- and cross-sell on consolidated MarTech stacks. Next, leads are being brought into the same data and orchestration universe as customers.
Viaplay: Data-Driven Personalization Across Streaming Channels and Apps
- 5x markets
- 4.4m subscribers
- Vertical
- Media
- Technology
- Adobe Campaign, Databricks
- Frameworks
- GDPR, ISAE3000
Situation
Viaplay Group is one of the Nordic region’s leading streaming services, competing against global platforms with significantly larger budgets. With rich customer profile, behavioral and streaming data, the opportunity lay in turning that data into actionable, personalized customer experiences. Viaplay set out to compete smarter: activating data effectively, increasing automation and personalization, and orchestrating communication across channels, including inside the streaming apps, to drive engagement and customer lifetime value.
Why Level
In streaming, customer value is won or lost inside the product, so MarTech, data and the streaming platform must work as one system. Viaplay needed a partner combining strategic expertise with hands-on execution across CRM, data engineering and product development. Building on a long-standing partnership, Level offered deep streaming industry knowledge and the engineering and operational capabilities to design, implement and continuously optimize customer engagement across the lifecycle, working as an extension of Viaplay’s CRM team.
Outcome
Together with its CRM, data engineering and product teams, Viaplay has established a scalable MarTech architecture with Level, connecting customer, behavioral and streaming data to advanced orchestration, including channels inside the streaming apps. Automation and personalization have increased significantly across the customer lifecycle. Level continues to evolve the architecture and capabilities with the CRM team, measured against engagement, operational efficiency and customer lifetime value.
TV4 Media: Real-Time, AI-Enabled Orchestration of a Multi-Brand Streaming Business
- 900k customers
- +28% streaming time
- Vertical
- Media
- Technology
- Braze, Snowflake, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Data360
- Frameworks
- GDPR, ISAE3000
Situation
TV4 Media, home to TV4 and TV4 Play in Sweden and MTV in Finland, has moved towards a streaming-first business while transitioning from Telia to Schibsted ownership. The focus is on leveraging modern data and MarTech capabilities to deliver more relevant, personalized customer experiences, strengthen customer engagement and drive long-term customer value. With news and live sports at its core, the ability to engage customers in real time is essential.
Why Level
When news breaks or a match kicks off, customer value is won in seconds, across email, push and the streaming apps themselves. TV4 Media needed a partner that could bring together data, technology and customer engagement across its brands and markets, while adapting to evolving business needs. Level offered media domain expertise, engineering depth from data platform to in-product orchestration, and hands-on experience developing and optimizing the MarTech ecosystem.
Outcome
Since 2020, TV4 Media has worked with Level to consolidate TV4, TV4 Play and C More onto a modern data and MarTech platform, reducing brand-specific technical debt along the way. Centralized orchestration enables more coordinated and personalized customer engagement across channels, including within the streaming apps. With AI connected across orchestration, data, documentation and development, governed by TV4’s own framework, new features and CLV programmes reach customers faster and at higher quality.
Falck: Commercial Transformation Built on Customer Data
- Vertical
- Services
- Technology
- Treasure Data, Microsoft Azure
- Frameworks
- GDPR, ISAE3000
Situation
Falck is one of Denmark’s best-known names in assistance, safety and health, serving private households and businesses through subscriptions across a broad range of services. Behind the scenes, customers, agreements and products are connected in complex ways. As ambitions for customer lifetime value grew, Falck’s Danish B2C and B2B organization set out to change how it works with customer data, segmentation and automation: modernizing key systems and building a foundation for a more data-driven way of working with customers.
Why Level
A transformation like this depends on understanding the business as much as the data. Through nearly two decades of partnership, Level knew Falck’s business, its complex customer data and the platforms that came before. Falck needed a partner that could bring that knowledge into a joint effort with its own CRM, MarTech and IT teams, and judge where to adapt the new platform and where to model the data instead.
Outcome
Together, Falck’s CRM, MarTech and IT teams and Level have changed how the organization works with its customers. A new customer data platform, fed from Falck’s central data platform, gives commercial teams one picture of complex customer and product relationships. Teams have become far more self-reliant, segmenting customers and launching new activities themselves, so CLV initiatives move from idea to execution faster, on a foundation built for data-driven customer work.
